Caring Hearts Ministry

Caring Hearts is St. Paul’s ministry to Seniors who are no longer able to participate actively in the life of the Church here at St. Paul’s.

Caring Hearts keeps them connected in a variety of ways, including visits, telephone calls, mailings of Sunday bulletins and a weekly newsletter called HomeTouch.

There’s more we’d love to do. We’re limited only by how many are willing to be a part of this important outreach.

This is where you come in. Are you willing to help keep our Seniors connected to their church family? Here’s how you can help:

  • Call a homebound member regularly just to chat.

  • Send a note of encouragement.

  • Remember their birthdays and anniversaries.

  • Drive those who need a ride to church, a doctor, or the supermarket.

  • Help out with light household duties and repairs.

  • Prepare a hot meal and take it by.

  • Volunteer to visit and read to them.

  • Pray for them and with them.

Our homebound members can help also by:

  • Praying for others who are homebound.

  • Praying for St. Paul’s, the pastor, the congregation and the staff.

  • Praying for those who are listed on our Prayer Concerns List.

If you can help, or you have an idea for the Caring Hearts ministry, please contact Rev. Bob Wannall at bobwannall@aol.com or Carolyn Thomas at dbthomas282@aol.com.
