Core Values We declare to each other and to the community what we believe. It is these beliefs that shape and inform who we are and what we do as St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
-
We believe that lost people matter to God and, therefore, ought to matter to the church.
-
We believe all Christians should grow in faith, hope and love, and are called to develop and use their spiritual gifts.
-
We believe our most important task is to introduce everyone to Jesus Christ.
-
We believe the answer to life’s spiritual questions can be found in the Bible.
-
We believe in the power of prayer.
-
We believe in God’s law of love, and accept the responsibility to care for our neighbors wherever they may be.
-
We believe in the family as the basic nurturing community.
-
We believe our church serves as an extended family in the community.
-
We believe we are accountable for our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our spiritual growth.
Having so declared, we now give ourselves to the fulfillment of this declaration to the glory of God the Father. We do so convinced of His help, guided by the Holy Scriptures and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
